Ken appeared in the first Street Fighter game having long length blond hair, a red kung fu uniform, and yellow bands on his hands. In the second game, he appeared pretty much unchanged except that this time he sported brown gloves. In the Street Alpha series, which was a series that acted as a prequel to Street Fighter 2, Ken's appearance would change again. This time he would have longer blond hair that was tied by a red ribbon and had yellow gloves instead of brown.
Ken's play style is similar to Ryu's. He has the same hadoken (fireball), but there are some easy to spot differences. Ken does have the same shroyuken (upper-cut) as Ryu, but he also has one shroyuken that lasts longer and shoots out fire. Just like Ryu, he was trained in the Kung Fu arts by martial arts expert Gouken. Ken is also a very popular character, but not as popular as Ryu. He has appeared in all the Street Fighter games, along with other fighting games such as SNK vs Capcom, and Marvel vs Capcom; see the Ryu article for details on these games.
